Waste of a good stamp

A few months ago we changed our cell carrier. This week I got a check in the mail for money we had overpaid on our former account. That check is for a whopping 4 cents!!! Am I the only one that thinks it is absolutely ridiculous that they would issue a check and waste a stamp for that amount of money??? Is it even worth driving to the bank to deposit?! I was thinking that companies should keep refunds of less than 1 dollar and donate the money at the end of the year. What do you think???

Birthday Girl

This mischievous grin says it all!!! Julia knew that the day was all about her and she loved the attention. Anyone who knows me knows that I have been planning the details of her first birthday for months. The dress had to me custom made , the cake ordered to match her dress, invitations, decorations etc. I was so happy with how the day turned out, I wish she could stay little forever though. At her doctor appointment she was 17 pounds 3 ounces and 28 inches long. I think she will be our baby for a little bit longer!
This baby doll from Pam and Jonathan was a hit. She was loving and kissing it all evening. It is amazing to see a little girl act that way so naturally. She has such a sweet, gentle nature and we love her so much.

Here is the cake that I've been so excited about. It was a great ending to the party!

Spring Break = Family Fun!!

We wanted the boys to have a fun Spring Break even though we weren't going on a long trip. So, we planned some fun day trips to keep busy and have some fun as a family. On Monday we joined some of the Taylor's at the beach for some sand, sun and s'mores. The kids had a great time seeing their cousins.

On Tuesday, we drove to the La Brea Tar Pits. Hyrum was just captivated by what he saw. he couldn't belive that it had really happened! Pit 91 was open for us to look at . It is currently under excavation. Mike and I also learned a lot there and we would encourage anyone who hasn't been to make the trip to see the tar pits.

Our final day, Wednesday, we went to a childrend museum called Kids Space in Pasadena. Everything is hands on and all 3 of the kids had a really fun day there. They rode bikes, climbed the rock wall, swam in the stream and had fun make believing.
